Google Reader wrecks image display

Google Reader has been failing more and more often. I am seriously considering finding a new service to handle feeds. Google has just started to botch the display of some posts coming in. The damage is hard to put to words, and is best illustrated in the screenshot (click for larger image). This used to work fine, so it must be a recent update that ruined it.
